Zeeland West Soccer lost to Unity Christian 0-4 on Wednesday at Unity. Coach Andy Hondorp commented, "I thought we did an excellent job defensively in the first half, which kept us in the game." He was also proud of Sr. Lucas Smith for making outstanding saves that kept the team in the game for the most part. Hondorp added, "One of these days, it's going to click, and it's going to be awesome."
The lone goal in the first half came from Unity from a penalty kick.
Sr. Evan Wiersma made some really good plays throughout the game and expressed, "The game didn't go as we wanted it to; we definitely would have preferred a better outcome. We tried our hardest, pushed through, and gave it our all today.”
