Zeeland West varsity football defeated the Wyoming Wolves 38-7 Friday night at home. The stands as well as the players were all hyped up as it was homecoming week and the night to determine the homecoming king and queen. There were 3 players from the team who were on court including Isaac Vanderzwag, Jacob McClaren, and Hudson Verbeek.The first half of the game the Dux built a  lead of 38-0. The second half saw only one score by Wyoming bringing the final to 38-7.

Sr. Keaton Hendricks ran four times for 93 yards and a touchdown. Additionally, Quarterback Sr.Trey Sloothaak was 4-for-4 passing for 103 yards. Jr. Jonah Leslie added two rushing touchdowns. Lesslie commented, “the game went well and we came out as we wanted to. They were good but we really took it to them.” The second half of the game we continued to hold a significant lead only giving up one touchdown making the final score 38-7. Head coach John Shillito stated, “It went great. The kids played well. I'm happy for all those guys who got in during the second half. They played well as well.”
