Zeeland West Freshman Dux built a five-run lead in the fourth inning and then held off Caledonia Freshman Fighting Scots's charge for a 5-4 victory on Friday.  Caledonia Freshman Fighting Scots scored four runs in the failed comeback on a error in the fourth, a single by Pewee in the fifth, a groundout by Larson in the fifth, and a single by Ayden Burns in the fifth.

Zeeland West Freshman Dux earned the victory despite allowing Caledonia Freshman Fighting Scots to score three runs in the fifth inning.  The offensive onslaught by Caledonia Freshman Fighting Scots was led by Pewee, Larson, and Burns, all driving in runs in the inning.

Zeeland West Freshman Dux notched three runs in the fourth inning.  The offensive firepower by Zeeland West Freshman Dux was led by Jacob Lencioni, Koen Rutkauskas, and Alex Steele, all driving in runs in the frame.

Lucas Smith got the win for Zeeland West Freshman Dux. The pitcher allowed two hits and one run over three innings, striking out two.  Rutkauskas and Steele entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
