Dux took a tough loss at Home Friday evening to Grandville High School 37-44.  
 

The Dux came out with great energy on defense which spurred them to a 24-17 lead at halftime with a last second buzzer beater from Marcy Creevy.  Dux were all over the boards in the first half and worked really well together as a squad.  
 

Unfortunately the Dux didn't bring that same focus into the 2nd half and GV crept back into the game late in the 4th quarter.  Some last minute turnovers and 2nd chance opportunities for Gv allowed them to step into the lead and the Dux were unable to recover.

Overall the girls continue to improve and we look forward to getting back on the court Tuesday against Wyoming.

Dux were led by Kara Bartels with 12 pts, 19rebounds and 7 blocks.  Aaliyah Ybarra also added 11pts, 4 assists and 3 steals.
