The freshman Dux close out their season with a 3 set victory vs Mona Shores 23-25, 25-11, 15-13. In the first set, the Dux had a slow start and were down 9-16, but slowly snuck back into contention before falling short by 2 in the first set. In the second set, the Dux started up 9-0 and never looked back. In the third set, the Dux saw a 13-7 lead dwindle to 13-13 before closing out the final two points for the win. The Dux finish their season with a 21-5 record and a perfect 10-0 in conference play. The Freshman Dux traveled to Grand Haven to participate in the Lakeshore Classic. The Dux started out the day 0-3 in pool play. Their pool was stacked with 3 of the top teams in the tournament including the eventual champion. They had losses to Hudsonville, Forest Hills Northern, and West Catholic. The Dux battled back in the afternoon and went 3-0 in bracket play to claim the silver bracket championship. Wins came against Grand Rapids Christian (25-18, 25-20), Reeths-Puffer (25-20, 25-22), and Catholic Central in the silver finals (25-14, 25-11).
