Ellie Jobson collected three hits in four at bats, as ZW Dux defeated Cedar Springs 8-0 on Thursday. Jobson singled in the second, fourth, and fifth innings to lead the offense.

The Dux scored six runs in the fouth inning on the way to victory. Jobson singled, scoring one run, an error occured to score one run, Morgan Patrick doubled for two RBIs, Alexa Brott doubled scoring one run, and Izzy Zamora singled for an RBI.

Brott earned the win for Zeeland West. She allowed two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out two and walking one. Madison Wyckoff and Emily Kragt both came in for relief. Wyckoff threw two innings allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out two and walking one. Kragt pitched the last inning with no runs and no hits.

The Dux collected 11 hits in the game. Patrick led the team in RBIs with two. Wyckoff collected two hits in four at bats. ZW also had a double play on defense.

Next up for the Dux is districts this Saturday at 10am vs Jenison.

It came down to the wire on Tuesday, as Zeeland West Varsity Dux grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 3-2, over Reeths-Puffer Varsity Rockets. The game was tied at two in the bottom of the seventh when Riley Howe grounded out, scoring one run.

A single by RP put them up 1-0 in the top of the first. They added another run in the third to go up 2-0.

ZW captured the lead in the bottom of the seventh after RP committed two errors and Howe grounded out, each scoring one run.

Alexa Brott earned the win for the Dux. The starting pitcher allowed five hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out two and walking none. 

Maddi Veersma, Izzy Zamora, and Ellie Jobson each collected one hit for Zeeland West. Howe and Zamora each drove in one run.

It was a great game and phenomenal team effort by the Dux to come out conference champs! GO DUX!

Monday's game against the Reeths-Puffer Rockets was a heartbreaker for Zeeland West, as they lost by a run in the bottom of the fifth. The game was tied 0-0 when a double by RP put them on top 1-0. The game was called before the top of the sixth due to inclement weather.

Alexa Brott took the loss for the Dux. The senior pitched five innings, surrendering one run on four hits, striking out three and walking one.

Emily Kragt went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead the offense.

Zeeland West will play Reeths-Puffer again on Tuesday for the conference championship.

Caledonia Scots defeated Zeeland West 9-1 on Saturday thanks in part to five runs in the fifth inning.

The Dux were first to get on the board in the top of the first inning when Alexa Brott hit a sac fly, scoring one run.

Emily Kragt took the loss for Zeeland West. The righty went three and one-third innings, allowing three runs on eight hits, striking out none and walking zero. Madi Wyckoff came in for relief pitching two and two-third innings, allowing six runs (two earned) on eight hits, walking one and striking out two.

Maddi Veersma and Wyckoff each collected two hits for the Dux. Brott had the only RBI for the Dux.

Next up for Zeeland West Varsity Dux is a double header at Reeths Puffer on Monday to complete conference play.

Zeeland West fell to Unity Christian 4-1 on Saturday.

Alexa Brott took the loss for Zeeland West going five innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits, striking out three and walking none. Emily Kragt came in for relief for the sixth inning allowing one hit, one run (zero earned), no walks and strike outs.

Madi Wyckoff and Emily Kragt each collected one hit for Zeeland West. Kragt led the offense with one RBI.

Alexa Brott struck out 14 batters as the righty led Zeeland West Varsity past Byron Center 1-0 on Wednesday. Brott allowed five hits and zero runs over seven innings while walking none. 

A solo homerun to center field by Madi Wyckoff on the seventh pitch of the at-bat put Zeeland West on the board in the bottom of the first inning. Wyckoff went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the offense with the only RBI.

Byron Center defeated Zeeland West 11-0 on Wednesday thanks to six runs (all unearned) in the second inning. 

Emily Kragt took the loss for the Dux as she went two innings, giving up nine runs (one earned) on six hits, striking out one and walking one. Madi Wyckoff came in for three innings in relief for ZW. She let up one hit and two runs (zero earned) while striking out four and walking one.

The Dux three hits in the game came from Jenna Hendricks, Wyckoff, and Kragt.

Zeeland West has two games this Saturday at Unity Christian vs Unity and Caledonia.

Zeeland West sweeped the Mona Shores Sailors on Tuesday for a double header to remain undefeated in conferene play.

The Dux won game one 10-0 in dramatic fashion.

ZW got on the board in the top of the first inning after Alexa Brott singled, Izzy Zamora doubled, and Emily Kragt doubled, all scoring one run. In the second, Morgan Patrick hit a sac fly to add one run. Kragt hit a solo home run in the third to put the Dux up 5-0 early on.

Brott earned the win for Zeeland West. The righty gave up one hit and zero runs over seven innings, striking out nine and walking four. 

The Dux accumulated 15 hits during the game. Brott, Patrick, Zamora, Riley Howe, Kragt, and Madi Wyckoff each collected two hits for ZW. Patrick, Zamora, and Kragt.each drove in two runs for the Dux and the team added five walks with no errors on defense.

Zeeland West scored five runs in the second inning, which helped them defeat Mona Shores Varsity Sailors 10-0 on Tuesday in six innings. Jenna Hendricks singled, scoring one run, Madi Wyckoff doubled scoring two runs, Morgan Patrick drew a walk for an RBI, and Alexa Brott added an RBI.

Wyckoff earned the win for Zeeland West as she gave up two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out four and walking two. Emily Kragt came in for relief and gave up zero hits, striking out none and walking none.

The Dux piled up 13 hits in the game. Ellie Jobson and Kragt were a force together in the line up, as they each collected three hits for the team. Wyckoff and Sadie Kragt each drove in two runs for the Dux. Izzy Zamora went two-for-four at the plate.

Zeeland West will welcome Byron Center for senior night on Wednesday. Come on out!

Izzy Zamora drove in four runs on three hits to lead Zeeland West past Reese 15-3 on Saturday morning. Zamora hit a homerun to left field in the first inning, scoring two runs, singled in the third scoring one, and walked in the fifth for an RBI.

The Dux scored eight runs in the fifth inning on the way to victory. Emily Kragt grounded out bringing in two runs, Ellie Jobson grounded out for an RBI, Jenna Hendricks singled for two RBIs, and Madi Wyckoff homered to left field, scoring two runs.

Kragt earned the win for the Dux in the circle. She allowed seven hits and three runs (zero earned) over five innings, striking out six and walking none.

Zeeland West tallied 11 hits for the game. Alexa Brott, Zamora, and Wyckoff each had three hits for the Dux. Maddi Veersma paced ZW with three walks. The team piled up 10 walks during the game.

Zeeland West Varsity got out to a 5-run lead in the second inning and held on for a 5-3 victory over Calvin Christian on Saturday. The Squires closed the gap by scoring on a double and a home run.

A double by Izzy Zamora put ZW on the board in the top of the first. The Dux added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Morgan Patrick singled, and error occured on the defense, and Ellie Jobson walked, each scoring one run.

Alexa Brott earned the win for the Dux. She surrendered 12 hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out three and walking one.

Zeeland West tallied 11 hits in the game. Zamora provided pop in the middle of the line up with two RBIs and went three-for-four at the plate. Riley Howe and Emily Kragt each had two hits.

Even though ZW collected five hits for the game, they still fell 2-1 on Saturday. Ellie Jobson and Izzy Zamora each collected two hits for the Dux. Both teams were strong in the circle as Wyoming struck out 10, while Zeeland West sat down nine.

Morgan Patrick drove in five runs on three hits to lead Zeeland West Varsity past Muskegon 28-0 for the second game of a double header on Friday. Patrick hit an inside the park home run in the second scoring two, doubled in the first scoring one, hit a sac fly in the first for an RBI, and singled in the second scoring one.

The Dux got on the board in the top of the first with Patrick's double, an error scoring three runs, Ellie Jobso with an RBI, Madi Wyckoff with a walk for an RBI, Alexa Brott doubled with two RBIs, Izzy Zamora singled with an RBI, Jobson drew a walk, and Riley Howe singled, scoring two runs.

Zeeland West continued their scoring streak in the top of the second inning, scoring 11 runs on seven hits. After Patrick's in the parker, came a single from Maddi Veersma, scoring one run, Jenna Hendricks singled with an RBI, Wyckoff singled with two RBIs, and Zamora singled, socring one run followed by an error that scored two runs.

The third inning brought out a triple by Brott, scoring two runs and a single by Zamora, scoring one run.

Emily Kragt earned the win for the Dux while giving up one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out five and walking none. 

The Dux totaled 18 hits on the game. Brott went 4-for-4 at the plate, leading the offense in hits. Zamora, Howe, Wyckoff, Hendricks, and Patrick all had multiple hits for the game.

Madi Wyckoff drove in six runs on three hits to lead ZW past Muskegon 29-0 for the first game of a double header on Friday. Wyckoff tripled twice in the first inning, scoring three runs on each hit for a total of six RBIs.

The Dux scored 18 runs in the bottom of the first inning. Alexa Brott singled with two RBIs, Izzy Zamora doubled scoring one run, Emily Kragt singled with one RBI, Yessie Alejandro was HBP scoring one run, Wyckoff tripled scoring three runs, Morgan Patrick singled for an RBI, Ellie Jobson singled for an RBI, Kragt singled scoring two runs, a defensive error brought in another run, Patrick tripled scoring one run, and Brott singled scoring one run.

Zeeland West then scored 11 runs on seven hits in the bottom of the second inning. Alejandro singled for two RBIs, Jenna Hendricks singled scoring two runs, Patrick doubled for an RBI, Brott doubled for an RBI, a defensive error brought one run in, Kragt singled scoring two runs, Alejandro singled for an RBI, and Hendricks singled scoring two runs.

Brott earned the win for the Zeeland West Dux. She let up zero hits, zero runs over three innings and struck out eight while walking none.

The Dux collected 19 hits over the two half innings. Patrick with four, Brott, Kragt, and Wyckoff with three hits each, Alejandro and Hendricks with two hits each.

Zeeland West Dux fell to Oakridge Eagles 9-5 in the first game of a double header on Thursday. 

Alexa Brott took the loss for the Dux. The right hander went three innings, allowing six runs (one earned) on eight hits, striking out three and walking none. Emily Kragt came in for relief in the fourth inning pitching three innings,  allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits, striking out one and walking one.

Zeeland West accumulated 14 hits in the game despite the tough loss. Brott, Morgan Patrick, Ellie Jobson, Izzy Zamora, and Madi Wyckoff each collected two hits for the Dux. Patrick led the Dux offense with three RBIs. 

The Zeeland West Dux Varsity fell again in game two against Oakridge 5-2 on Thursday.

The Dux scored first in the top of the first inning by a sacrifice fly from Alexa Brott. A single by Brott in the third inning extended the ZW lead to 2-0. Oakridge answered back in the fifth inning and took the lead 4-2.

Madi Wyckoff took the loss for the Dux. In the circle, the righty went five innings giving up four runs (one earned) on seven hits, striking out four and walking two. Emily Kragt came in for relief in the sixth inning allowing one run (unearned) on two hits.

Brott led the offense with two RBIs and went 1-for-2 at the plate. Brott, Ellie Jobson, Izzy Zamora, Wyckoff, and Jenna Hendricks each collected a hit for the game.

Zeeland West will host Muskegon on Friday for a double header to continue conference play.

ZW Dux lost to the Hudsonville Eagles 4-2 for the first game of a double header on Monday.

Alexa Brott took the loss for the Dux going four innings, allowing three runs on five hits, striking out two and walking two. Emily Kragt came in for relief going three innings and allowing one run on one hit while walking three and striking out three.

Morgan Patrick and Madi Wyckoff were a force together at the plate as they each had two hits for Zeeland West. Wyckoff led the offense with two RBIs. Ellie Jobson and Jenna Hendricks each had a double on the day. Maddi Veersma also added a stolen base.

Hudsonville built their lead a few runs at a time against the Dux on Monday for a 6-0 victory.

Madi Wyckoff took the loss for the Dux going six innings in the circle, allowing four runs on five hits, striking out five and walking three. Emily Kragt came in for relief in the seventh inning allowing two runs on two hits and striking out one.

Izzy Zamora led the ZW offense going 2-for-3 at the plate. Madi Wyckoff added one hit as well.

The Dux are scheduled to play Muskegon for a double header on Tuesday to hopefully continue their undefeated conference play.

Zeeland West had a tough time keeping up with Lakeview High School in a 13-2 loss on Friday.

The Dux scored their first run in the top of the first when Emily Kragt singled and Morgan Patrick took home.

Alexa Brott took the loss for the Dux, going three innings while giving up seven runs (five earned) on seven hits, two strikeouts, and one walk. Kragt came in for relief on the mound for an inning allowing six runs (four earned) on six hits.

Kragt led the Dux on the offense going 2-for-2 at the plate with one RBI.

Zeeland West coudn't keep up with Lakeview High school and fell 10-3. The Dux were the first to get on the board in the top of the first when Alexa Brott hit a solo home run to left field. Morgan Patrick hit a sac fly in the second inning to tie the game up 2-2.

Emily Kragt took the loss for the Dux as she went four innings, giving up five runs (four earned) on six hits, striking out two and walking none. Madi Wyckoff came if or relief for two innings giving up five runs on six hits while striking out three and walking one.

Wyckoff led the offense going 2-for-3 at the plate from the lead off position. Brott, Patrick, and Riley Howe each drove in one run for Zeeland West.

The Dux play at home on Monday for a double header against Hudsonville.

Brott doubled in the first, singled in the third, and doubled again in the seventh inning. Jobson  doubled in the second, singled in the fourth, and singled in the sixth inning.

The Dux were tied 1-1 going into the fourth inning when Ellie Jobson broke up the tie with a single, scoring one run. Then a single by Jenna Hendricks followed to extend the lead 3-1.

The Dux accumulated 12 hits in the game. Brott and Jobson each collected three hits for Zeeland West. Emily Kragt collected two hits in four at bats and the team had five stolen bases for the game. 

Zeeland West scored seven runs in the fourth inning, which helped them defeat Northview Varsity 12-2 in the second game on Thursday. Jenna Hendricks singled for an RBI, Morgan Patrick singled for an RBI, Emily Kragt drew a walk scoring a run, Maddi Veersma walked scoring a run, Ellie Jobson drew a walk scoring one run, and Yessie Alejandro singled to bring in two runs.

The Dux took the lead in the third inning when Madi Wyckoff singled for two RBIs and Alexa Brott singled scoring one run. A wild pitch brought in another run putting the Dux up 4-2 going into the fourth inning.

Wyckoff earned the win for Zeeland West, throwing five innings with four hits, two runs scored, striking out five, and walking two.

The Dux collected 11 hits throughout the game. Jenna Hendricks had three hits in three at bats! Alejandro, Kragt, and Wyckoff each drove in two runs for Zeeland West. The team had patience at the plate with six walks. 

The Dux Varsity is headed to Battle Creek Lakeview on Friday for a double header.

Zeeland West defeated Holland 23-0 on Tuesday thanks to 14 runs in the fourth inning. Jenna Hendricks drew a walk for an RBI, Madi Wyckoff singled for two RBIs, Morgan Patrick tripled with two RBIs, Alexa Brott singled scoring one run, Izzy Zamora grounded out with an RBI, Maddi Veersma walked scoring a run, Yessie Alejandro singled with an RBI, Hendricks drew another walk for an RBI, Wyckoff singled again for an RBI, and Brott tripled for 3 RBIs.

The Dux got on the board in the first inning when Brott singled, Zamora singled, and Veersma singled, each scoring one run.

Zeeland West added six runs on two hits when an error scored a run, Hendricks singled for two RBIs, and Patrick singled with three RBIs. 

Emily Kragt earned the win for the Dux. The right-handed pitcher gave up two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out two and walking none.

Zeeland West Varsity accumulated 13 hits in game two. Brott drove the middle of the line up, leading ZW with five RBIS and three hits. Patrick, Kragt, and Wyckoff each collected multiple hits for the team. The team also had 10 walks at the plate. Patrick, Veersma, and Hendricks all had two free passes each. Patrick stole three bases with the team having a total of five stolen bases.

Zeeland West will travel to Northview for a double header on Thursday.

Alexa Brott was dominant in the circle today, as she rang up 10 strikeouts in Zeeland West's 10-2 victory over Holland. Brott gave up four hits and two runs over seven innings while walking none.

ZW Dux won thanks in part to seven runs in the sixth inning. Jenna Hendricks singled, scoring one run, Riley Howe doubled scoring one run, Morgan Patrick drew a walk for an RBI, Izzy Zamora singled scoring two runs, and Maddi Veersma doubled scoring one run. 

Zamora led the offense with 2 RBIs. Patrick, Zamora, Howe, Veersma, and Hendricks each collected one hit for the Dux. Madi Wyckoff led the team in walks with three in the game. Veersma and Wyckoff each stole multiple bases for the Dux, six total for the team.

A walk-off left the Zeeland West Dux on the wrong end of a 6-5 defeat to Grandville on Wednesday. The game was 5-1 going into the bottom of the seventh.

ZW lost despite out-hitting Grandville 10 hits to 9. Izzy Zamora led the Dux on the offense with three hits in four at bats. The first run for Zeeland West came from Maddii Veersma when she singled in the top of the first, scoring an RBI. The Dux collected 10 hits in the game. Morgan Patrick and Riley Howe each had two hits in the game. Patrick added two stolen bases. Veersma had two RBIs on the day.

Madi Wyckoff took the loss for Zeeland West going six and two-thirds innings, giving up six runs on nine hits, striking out seven and walking two.

The Dux welcome Holland for a conference double header on Tuesday.

Maddi Veersma and Izzy Zamora each collected three hits in four at bats, as Zeeland West defeated Zeeland East 12-1 for the first game of a double header on Tuesday. Veersma doubled in the sixth inning, singled in the third, and singled in the fifth. Zamora singled all three hits in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings.

Veersma's first at bat was a ground out to put the Dux on the board first in the top of the first inning.

Zeeland East answered back with a solo homerun by Megan Kuzma in the bottom of the first.

A double by Madi Wyckoff gave Zeeland West the lead again (2-1) in the top of the third.

Zeeland West scored six runs on sevens hits in the top of the sixth inning. Alexa Brott doubled, scoring two runs, Veersma doubled scoring one run, Emily Kragt doubled scoring one run, Yessie Alejandro grounded out scoring one run, and Jenna Hendricks singled scoring one run.

The Dux tallied 14 hits in the game. Zamora and Veersma each collected three hits for the Dux. Brott, Alejandro, and Kragt each drove in two runs for Zeeland West. Morgan Patrick, Kragt, and Wyckoff each collected two hits for the Dux as well. Kragt provided two doubles in her at bats. Zeeland West had clean defense and didn't commit a single error.

Zeeland West defeated Zeeland East 15-0 on Tuesday thanks in part to 12 runs in the second inning. Ellie Jobson doubled, scoring one run, Madi Wyckoff singled with two RBIs, Morgan Patrick doubled with one RBI, Alexa Brott tripled scoring two RBIs, Emily Kragt hit a sac fly for an RBI, Izzy Zamora singled with an RBI. This followed up with an error scoring a run then Rily Howe singled with an RBI, and Brott drew a walk scoring one run.

The Dux got on the board first in the bottom of the first inning when Brott singled and Maddi Veersma hit a sac fly, each scoring one run.

Kragt hit a solo homerun to center field in the bottom of the third for the Dux to end the game.

Morgan Patrick went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Zeeland West on the offense. Alexa Brott, Yessie Alejandro, and Kragt each drove in one run for the Dux. The defense turned one double play in the game.

Zeeland West Varsity Dux were victorious against Buchanan Varsity Bucks 4-2 on Friday!

Brott earned the win for ZW allowing eight hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out six and walking none.

Brott, Morgan Patrick, Jobson, Jenna Hendricks, and Madi Wyckoff each collected one hit for the Zeeland West offense. Brott and Jobson each drove in one run with Patrick having a double. The Dux defense turned a double play in the game.

Alexa Brott took the loss for the Dux as she went five innings, giving up four runs on seven hits, striking out three, and walking one. Brott was able to break the Zeeland West career strike out record during the game setting the new record at 434 strikeouts and counting.

Brott, Morgan Patrick, Ellie Jobson, and Madi Wyckoff each collected one hit for Zeeland West. Jobson was 1-3 at the plate and had the solo RBI for the team. ZW defense added a double play on the year during the game.

Zeeland West will host Buchanan on Friday for a double header.

The runs came from a walk from Madi Wyckoff, Brott walked, Morgan Patrick singled (scoring two runs), Izzy Zamora walked, Ellie Jobson singled (scoring two runs), Wyckoff singled (scoring two runs), Veersma hit an in the parker (scoring three runs), Zamora drew a walk, an error occured, Yessie Alejandro doubled (scoring two runs), Jenna Hendricks doubled, Veersma singled (scoring two runs), and Emily Kragt tripled (scoring two runs).

Brott earned the win for ZW Varsity. She allowed zero hits, zero runs, one walk, striking out seven over three innings.

ZW Dux got on the board in the top of the first with 14 runs after Brott drew a walk, Emily Kragt was HBP, Morgan Patrick was HBP, Izzy Zamora singled (scoring two runs), Yessie Alejandro tripled (scoring three runs), an error occured, Kragt tripled (scoring three runs), Zamora singled, and Alejandro drew a walk.

Dux added to their lead in the top of the second when they scored 3 more runs when Zamora was HBP and Ellie Jobson grounded out with two RBIs.

In the third inning, the Dux scored 14 more runs on three hits. Brott, Kragt, and Patrick all drew a walk for RBIs then followed by two errors to score three runs. Madi Wyckoff then drew a walk, Maddi Veersma doubled with two RBIs, Brott tripled with two RBIs, Zamora singled which scored another run. Jobson then hit a sacrifice fly for an RBI followed by Riley Howe with a HBP for an RBI.

Brott earned the win for ZW Varsity as she went all three innings with zero hits, zero runs, zero walks, and striking out nine. 

Jobson led the Dux with five RBIs, Zamora with going three for four at the plate, Patrick and Wyckoff with four free passes each. 

Zeeland West Dux fell to St. Joseph Bears 2-1 on Monday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at one in the bottom of the seventh when a single brought in the winning run.

The game was tied 0-0 with a pitcher's duel until a solo home run from the bears put them up 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth.

The Dux answered back in the top of the 6th when Alexa Brott singled and brough an RBI in to tie the game 1-1.

The bears took the win giving up two hits and one run over seven innings, striking out 13 and walking three. Emily Kragt took the loss for the ZW Dux going one and two-thirds innings, giving up one run (unearned) on two hits, striking out one and walking one. Brott started the game for the Dux and allowed five hits, one run over five innings, striking out two and walking none.

Zeeland West Varsity will travel to Grand Rapids Union for their next games on Tuesday.

Zeeland West Varsity Dux defeated Wyoming Varsity 8-3 on Tuesday.

Wyoming got on the board in the top of the first with a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

Alexa Brott hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first to tie the game 1-1.

A single by Madi Wyckoff gave Zeeland West the lead at 2-1 in the bottom of the second.

Wyoming came back in the top of the third to tie the game 2-2.

It was a back and forth battle until the top of the sixth when the wolves went up 3-2. 

The Dux flipped the game in the bottom of the sixth, scoring six runs on five hits to take a 8-3 lead. Maddie Veersma came in clutch hitting a 2 RBI single scoring two runs to put Zeeland West up 4-3. The biggest blow of the inning was a double by Emily Kragt that drove in three runs.

Brott earned the win for Zeeland West Varsity Dux. The right hander allowed three hits and three runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out eight and walking two.

Zeeland West tallied 11 hits in the game. Kragt provided multiple pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Zeeland West Dux with 3 RBIs. She went 2-4 on the day. Morgan Patrick, Kragt, Veersma, and Wyckoff each collected two hits for the game.

Maddie Veersma drove in seven runs on three hits to lead Zeeland West past Wyoming Wolves 23-0 on Tuesday. Veermas doubled in the second scoring three, hit a home run to right field in the third scoring three, and singled in the second with one RBI.

Zeeland West got on the board in the top of the first after Alexa Brott singled, then the Wolves committed an error, Morgan Patrick singled, and then another error by the Wolves gave the Dux 4 total runs.

Zeeland West then scored 11 runs on 10 hits in the top of the second. Veersma doubled scoring three runs, Brott doubled scoring a run, Izzy Zamora singled scoring a run, Emily Kragt tripled scoring a run, Ellie Jobson singled scoring two runs, Madi Wyckoff doubled scoring tow runs, and Veersma singled scoring one run.

The Dux shut the Wolves down in the bottom of the second and came back in the top of third with 8 more runs on 10 hits. Bri Kamer singled, scoring one run then Wyckoff doubled, scoring another run. Then Veersma homered scoring three runs, Zamora singled scoring another run, and then Sadie Kragt singled, scoring two runs. 

Wyckoff earned the win for the Dux as she surrendered three hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out four and walking none. 

Zeeland West Dux amassed 22 hits in the game! Brott led the Dux with four hits in four at bats. Jobson, Patrick, Kragt, Zamora, Wyckoff, and Veersma each collected multiple hits for the Dux. Zeeland West didn't commit a single error in the field!

Grand Haven built their lead a few runs at time in an 8-0 victory over Zeeland West Varsity Dux on Monday. GH got on the board in the top of the second inning with two runs in the form of RBIs. They then added two runs in the third off a single, making the score 4-0.

Alexa Brott took the loss for Zeeeland West as the righty went five and one-third innings, giving up eight runs (five earned) on 12 hits, striking out five and walking one.

Brott and Madi Wyckoff each had one hit for the game, both doubles!

Emily Kragt came in for relief on the mound and pitched 1.2 innings, allowing one hit and no runs with one strikeout.

Zeeland West Varsity Dux fell 4-2 to Grand Haven on Monday despite out-hitting them seven to five. Maddie Veersma led Zeeland West Varsity Dux with two hits.

A single by Izzy Zamora put Zeeland West Varity Dux on the board in the bottom of the first.

An error gave Grand Haven the lead (2-1) in the top of the fourth.

Veersma homered to center field, which helped Zeeland West Varsity Dux tie the game at two in the bottom of the sixth.

Grand Haven broke up the tie in the top of the seventh from a double followed by a Dux error which put Grand Haven up 4-2.

Madi Wyckoff took the loss for the Dux after going seven innings, giving up four runs (zero earned) on five hits, striking out seven and walking one.

Zeeland West play away on Wednesday at Whitehall for their next games.
