Zeeland West Varsity Dux were victorious against Buchanan Varsity Bucks 4-2 on Friday!
ZW captured the lead 4-2 in the bottom of the sixth when Alexa Brott singled, scoring one run and then Ellie Jobson hit into a fielder's choice, scoring two runs and then an error scored one run.
Brott earned the win for ZW allowing eight hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out six and walking none.
Brott, Morgan Patrick, Jobson, Jenna Hendricks, and Madi Wyckoff each collected one hit for the Zeeland West offense. Brott and Jobson each drove in one run with Patrick having a double. The Dux defense turned a double play in the game.
Next up for Zeeland West Varsity is a double header on Tuesday at Zeeland East.
