The Zeeland West Dux varsity baseball team took Tuesday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 5-4 walk-off victory over West Ottawa. The game was tied at four with Zeeland West batting in the bottom of the seventh when Kam Visser singled on a 1-2 count, scoring the winning run.

Zeeland West got things moving in the first inning, when Camden Keatley doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. The Dux would put up three runs in the second inning as Aden DeGraaf and Keatley each had RBI hits. In the top of the fourth inning, West Ottawa battled back and tied things up at four. Although four runs wouldn't be enough for the Panthers as Visser would get the walk-off hit. "I am so happy for Kam," said head coach Adam Locker after the game, "he is a tough kid and he has worked hard to be prepared for opportunities like that last at bat. It is great to see that hard work pay off tonight."

Marshal Acosta started the game for the Dux. He went four innings, allowing four runs on five hits, striking out one and walking zero. Kody Bomers was credited with the victory for as he lasted three innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out three and walking one. Kyle Veersma led the Zeeland West offensive attack with with two hits in four at bats and the Dux didn't commit a single error in the field. 

Zeeland West (9-5, 3-0) will play next at Fifth Third Ballpark for the baseball program's annual Family Night. The Freshman, Junior Varsity, and Varsity team will play a triple-header against Comstock Park with the Freshman game starting at 4:00p, the Junior Varsity game starting at 5:45p, and the first pitch of the varsity contest set for 7:30p.
