The Zeeland West varsity baseball team took home a 6-1 victory over Unity Christian on Thursday and with the win, swept the three game series against the Crusaders.

The Dux got things moving in the first inning, when Trevor Kilinski doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. The offensive attack would continue when the Dux notched four runs in the fourth inning. Kyle Veersma, Camden Keatley, and Kilinski all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Camden Keatley pitched Zeeland West to victory as he surrendered one run on five hits over seven innings, striking out eight and walking zero. Spriensma took the loss for Unity Christian. He surrendered six runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out two. 

Zeeland West racked up eight hits in the game and were led by Travis Vredeveld and Aiden DeGraaf as each managed two hits to lead the Dux offensive attack.

The Dux (6-5, 3-0) will travel to Cornerstone Univeristy on Saturday to take on Loy Norix High School with teh first pitch set for 1:00p.
