Boys Birds Lacrosse Takes Down Maroons

The Zeeland Boys Varsity Lacrosse team beat the Holland Christian Maroons by a score of 11-5.
After the opening face off, Holland Christian was the first to score but it didn't take the Birds long to right the ship and pull ahead in what ultimately became a one sided victory. Head Coach Cory Elzinga said, “We had a lot of players step up, including players into new roles that will only help us get better as the season goes on. Always great to get a win over a rival as well!”
Zeeland West Soph. Niko Moungkhoun led the birds with 5 goals. Moungkhoun said, “It was a fun game and I did what I needed to do in order to put the ball in the back of the net.”
