Student-Athlete,
We are glad you have expressed interest in joining the Creekside Dux Football team. We look
forward to helping you have a great experience as a student athlete in our Zeeland West Football
program.

Here are some important pieces of information that you and your parents need to know.
Football Camp:
Zeeland West will have its annual football camp for 7 th and 8 th graders on July 11 to 13 th from
4:30-6:30pm at the Stadium. This camp is very important as we start your training in the Zeeland
West program. All student athletes are encouraged to attend. Cost is $45.00. No need to sign up
just show up on first day of camp. Please pay on the first day of camp to the coaches. No Helmets
and take your own water bottle.
Football Practice:

Creekside will start practice on Wednesday August 16 (this is subject to change, we will notify
thru Final Forms). We will use the practice field, located behind Creekside Middle School.
Practices will be from 5-7pm. The first 3 days will be conditioning, with helmets only (NO
PADS). Every athlete must complete 3 days of conditioning before participating in pads. We will
practice on Labor Day from 5-7pm as we need to get in our State required number of practices.
We will have a scrimmage at Jenison on September 6 th .

Games:
Games are played on Wednesday’s, 7 th graders starting at 5:00pm and 8 th graders to follow. Our
first game will be September 13th, 2023.

You must have a physical form on file in the Creekside office in order to participate when
practice starts. You must be registered in FinalForms and signed up for the football 2023 school
year if you will be attending Creekside next year. https://zeeland-mi.finalforms.com . Please do
this, it will help get you the proper communications from the coaching staff.

Equipment:
Parents will need to provide the following football equipment. Approved helmet, pads, mouth
guard, cleats and black football pants with pads. Colored socks are not needed, most kids wear no
shows or ankle highs. Creekside will provide a practice and game jerseys. Athletes must wear the
practice jersey to practice; color of pants for practice is either white or black.

Please keep in mind as well that our practices are closed to spectators for the first 3 weeks. This is
a very important time in your child’s development in the program. If after 3 weeks you would like
to watch your son practice, please do so from the South end of the practice field.
