Last night the Dux hosted the Big Red of Muskegon and the Trojans of Fruitport for the season opener. In a closely contested wrestling dual, the young team showcased their skills with a 1-1 record. Despite facing tough opponents, they wrestled well and has coaches and fans excited for future competitions! 

In the first round of the quad the Dux came out on top in a back and forth dual against m Muskegon winning 48-33. In the second round the Dux fell to Fruitport 57-21. 

Going undefeated on varsity for the night were Gerrit Hartman, Troy Postema, Kaal Willard, and Emma Kouw. Going 1-1 on varsity was Jacob Dykema, Jaxon Hammond, Logan Blackburn, Austin Ulberg, and Jarett Sal. Going undefeated on JV was Emma Kouw, David Pedroza, Jackson Burkhour, and Kye Chayer. Going 1-1 on JV was Cole Walker and Mateo Lopez. 

The Dux return to the mat on Saturday to host the annual Kraai invitational, to honor the memory of the late Gene Kraai. Be sure to come on out and support the Dux this weekend!
