Zeeland Varsity Lacrosse fell behind Grand Rapids Catholic Central 2-3 midway through the first quarter. This would be the last time they trailed Friday night as they scored 9 straight goals to take an 11-3 halftime lead en route to a 14-6 victory over the Cougars. Clayton Hoekwater led the scoring with 3 goals and 2 assists. Ethan Geary also scored 3 goals while Brendan Niesz, Will Fredrickson, and Eli VanSingel each scored 2 goals. Finishing out the goal scoring for Zeeland were Caleb Meeuwsen and Jimmie Rockel with one goal each. Riley Rimes piloted the Zeeland offense getting many teammates involved and assisting on 4 Zeeland goals. Rockel and Tucker Martinez each added one assist. Clayton Boerigter made several key saves during Zeeland's pivotal run and finished the night with 7 saves total.
