The Dux JV soccer team clipped the Red Hawks of Grand Rapids Union last night, earning a 7-0 conference victory. All seven goals were scored by different players, which shows how unselfish and deep this team is becoming. Caiti Grant scored the first goal of the night after pouncing on a rebound from a Marissa Ybarra blast from the top of the box. Amarra Blattner's header from Brooklyn Geerlings made it 2-0. Sam Van Dort set up both Mya Frego and Riley Smith by delivering great crosses to make it 4-0 heading into the half.
Caiti Grant set-up Marissa Ybarra, returning the favor from earlier in the game. Riley Smith pulled the ball back on the left side and found a wide open Emma Boersma, who calmly settled, collected and fired the ball under the arms of the keeper to make it 6-0. Rylee Terpstra's 40 yard bomb capped the scoring for the Dux, as they limited the Red Hawks to 3 shots on goal.
