Despite trailing by as many as four runs, Zeeland West Varsity Dux rallied to top Ravenna Bulldogs Varsity 7-6 on Friday.

Ravenna Bulldogs Varsity jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Reese Herremans singled, scoring one run, Emily Postema singled, scoring one run, and Emma Herremans homered to right field, scoring two runs.

A double by Herremans extended the Ravenna Bulldogs Varsity lead to 5-3 in the top of the second inning.

Zeeland West Varsity Dux took the lead, 6-5, in the bottom of the second thanks to doubles by Emily Kragt, and Bri Kamer.

A wild pitch extended the Zeeland West Varsity Dux lead to 7-5 in the bottom of the third inning.

Sadie Kragt earned the win for Zeeland West Varsity Dux. The pitcher allowed nine hits and six runs over five innings, striking out three and walking one. Addison Gillard took the loss for Ravenna Bulldogs. The righty went two innings, allowing six runs on seven hits, striking out none and walking two.

Kamer and Kragt were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Zeeland West Varsity Dux. Megan Strabbing, Kamer, and Kragt each drove in two runs for Zeeland West Varsity Dux. Zeeland West Varsity Dux were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Strabbing made the most plays with five.
