Zeeland West Varsity Dux could not keep up with Ravenna Bulldogs Varsity 11-7 on Friday the first game of a double header.

Ravenna Bulldogs Varsity got on the board in the fourth inning after Emma Herremans singled, scoring one run.

Zeeland West Varsity Dux took the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning after Maddi Veersma homered to center field, and Megan Strabbing doubled to center field, each scoring one run.

Ravenna Bulldogs Varsity flipped the game on its head in the top of the seventh, scoring five runs on six hits to take the lead, 6-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Herremans that drove in two.

Zeeland West Varsity Dux tied the game in the bottom of the seventh thanks to a hit by a pitch, and an error.

Ravenna Bulldogs took the lead again in the top of the eighth, scoring five runs on two hits to take the lead, 11-6. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Emily Postema that drove in two.

Addison Gillard earned the win for Ravenna Bulldogs Varsity Softball 2025. The righty surrendered four hits and six runs (three earned) over two innings, striking out four and walking two. Madison Wyckoff took the loss for Zeeland West Varsity Dux. The pitcher went eight innings, surrendering 10 runs (eight earned) on 17 hits, striking out 12 and walking one. Natalie Rosel stepped in the circle first for Ravenna Bulldogs. She surrendered two hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out six and walking one.

Veersma led Zeeland West Varsity Dux with two runs batted in. The outfielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Number nine hitter, Sadie Kragt, showed the depth of Zeeland West Varsity Dux's lineup, by leading them with two hits in three at bats.
