Megan Strabbing collected three hits in three at bats, as Zeeland West Varsity Dux defeated Lakeview Varsity Spartans 7-2 on Wednesday. Strabbing hit a home run to center field in the first inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the fourth inning.

Madison Wyckoff struck out 11 batters on the day. The righty also allowed five hits and two runs over seven innings while walking one.

Lakeview Varsity Spartans were the first to get on the board in the first when one run scored on another play.

Zeeland West Varsity Dux flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring five runs on six hits to take the lead, 5-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to center field by Strabbing that drove in two.

A single by Emily Kragt extended the Zeeland West Varsity Dux lead to 6-1 in the bottom of the second inning.

Angelia Palma took the loss for Lakeview Varsity Spartans. The starter went one inning, allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits, striking out two and walking one.
