Zeeland West Varsity Dux ran off with the lead late in the game in a 4-3 victory over Byron Center on Wednesday.  Zeeland West Varsity Dux was down 3-2 in the top of the seventh inning when Maddie Veersma singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Emily Kragt was credited with the victory for Zeeland West Varsity Dux. The righty went two and two-thirds innings, allowing one run on two hits.

Alexa Brott started the game for Zeeland West Varsity Dux. The righthander went four and a third innings, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out nine and walking one

Zeeland West Varsity Dux tallied 12 hits in the game.  Kragt, Ellie Jobson, Izzy Zamora, and Veersma all collected multiple hits for Zeeland West Varsity Dux.  Kragt led Zeeland West Varsity Dux with three hits in four at bats. 

Zeeland West Varsity Dux was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error.
