Zeeland West Varsity Dux stayed in it until the end, but West Catholic Varsity Falcons pulled away late in a 6-4 victory on Thursday. The game was tied at four with West Catholic Varsity Falcons batting in the top of the seventh when Cate Sanders singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
Zeeland West Varsity Dux scored three runs in the third inning. The big inning was thanks to a single by Izzy Zamora, a sacrifice fly by Alexa Brott, and an error on a ball put in play by Emily Kragt.
