Zeeland West Varsity Dux fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 4-3 loss to Mona Shores Varsity Sailors on Wednesday.
Emily Kragt was in the pitcher's circle for Zeeland West Varsity Dux. The righthander allowed five hits and two runs over four and a third innings, striking out seven and walking zero. Maddie Wyckoff threw one and two-thirds innings in relief.
Morgan Patrick went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Zeeland West Varsity Dux in hits. Zeeland West Varsity Dux tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases.
