Zeeland West Varsity Dux watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 5-1 loss to Grand Haven on Saturday. Grand Haven took the lead on a double in the first inning.

Zeeland West Varsity Dux got things moving in the first inning. Carly Sleeman doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

Chriuk pitched Grand Haven to victory. The bulldog surrendered one run on two hits over seven innings, striking out 18.

Emily Kragt was in the circle for Zeeland West Varsity Dux. The righty lasted two innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out one and walking zero. Maddie Wyckoff threw four innings in relief out of the bullpen.
