WAYLAND UNION HIGH SCHOOL: 4
The game was scoreless through four innings until Wayland scored on a Dux error. They went ahead 3-0 in the top the sixth with a two run home run. The Dux put up one in the bottom of the inning, but Wayland did the same in the top of the seventh for the win. Dux played a good game, but fell short against Wayland 1-4.
Alexa Brott took the loss on the mound. She threw seven innings allowing four runs on four hits, striking out five and walking three.
Dux offense was held to four hits. The run came off a triple from Lily Brower who plated Morgan Patrick who hit a double to lead of the sixth inning. Carly Sleeman and Emily Brands also had doubles, but were stranded in the loss.
Dux record goes to 28-8 on the season.
