Dux stumbled in the opening game and struggled to get the bats going and fell to Mona 2-5 in a close OK Green conference game. Dux scored first, but Mona countered and took the lead in the top of the third and never looked back.
Emily Brands took the loss on the mound. She threw seven innings allowing six runs on eleven hits, striking out four and walking zero. "Emily threw well, but we didn't support with our bats and Mona did a good job putting the ball in play and hitting to open field."
Dux offense was held at bay by Mona with only five hits. They were led by Caly Sleeman who went 2 for 3 with a single and a double. Elexia Fuentes, Taylor Zwagerman, and Alexa Brott each contributed hits in the loss.
Dux received their second conference loss and their record moves to 11-2 going into the final game of the conference season.
