The Dux scored three runs in each of the first two innings taking an early 6-2 lead. They added two more and stopped a rally by Mona who put up three in the fifth inning to win 8-5 in the second game of the Milan Miracle tournament in Hudsonville.

Addison Verplank started on the mound for the Dux. She threw one inning allowing two runs on two hits, with two walks. Alexa Brott took the mound in the second inning Mona loaded the bases. Dux held Mona to a single run in the inning. Brott threw six innings allowing three runs on two hits, striking out nine and walking zero. "It was a good start for Addison. She ran into a little control trouble in the second, but it was nice to see Alexa come in to support."

Dux offense was led by Carly Sleeman who went 2 for 2 with a triple and a two run homerun. Sleeman was also intentionally walked twice in the game. Taylor Zwagerman went 2 for 4 with a solo homerun, double, and two RBIs. Lily Brower was the third Dux hitter to collect multple hits. She had a triple and a single. Brott, Elexia Fuentes, and Verplank each added hits in the victory. Fuentes collecting two RBIs in the game as well.

Dux improved to 27-6 on the season.

They complete their OK Green schedule by playing Mona Shores on Tuesday with hopes of clinching the Conference Championship. The double header starts at 4:15pm at home.
