The Dux fell short on Saturday in game one of the Milan Miracle Tournament losing to Hudsonville 2-5. They pulled within one with a two run homerun by Morgan Patrick in the fifth, but the Eagles shut the door with their own two run shot in the bottom of the sixth.
Emily Brands took the loss on the mound. She threw six innings allowing five runs on six hits, striking out three and walking two.
The Dux offense was held to only three hits in the game. They were led by Patrick with the two run home run. Elexia Fuentes had a single and Brands had a double.
Dux record moved to 26-6 and faced Mona Shores in game two.
