Dux were on the road for a double header at West Ottawa tonight and defeated the Panthers 13-2 in game one. They were sparked in the top of the first with Jordyn Smeyers getting a lead off single, Lily Brower reaching base on an error before Taylor Zwagerman hit a triple driving them both in for a 2-0 lead. They never looked back and added runs in five of the six innings.

Duties on the mound were shared by Emily Brands and Addison Verplank. Brands started and threw three innings allowing two runs on four hits, walking one. Addison came in and pitched three innings allowing zero runs and walking three. "It was good to see the two share the mound tonight. Both did what they needed to do to put the ball in play and allow our defense to back them up." 

Dux offense was led by Alexa Brott who had back to back home runs in the contest. She finished 2 for 3 with three RBIs. Brower went 2 for 4 driving in 2 runs. Elexia Fuentes, Zwagerman, Carly Sleeman, Smeyers, Morgan Pattrick, and Avery Vugteveen each contributed hits in the victory.

Dux improved to 25-5 on the season before taking on the Panters in the second game.
