The Dux got stunned by Calvin Christian giving up thirteen runs in the first three innings before shutting them down, but couldn't get the bats going enough to catch up.

They got a spark form Addison Verplank who tied the game in the second inning as she hit a two run homerun after Alexa Brott singled to get on base.

Emily Brands took the loss on the mound. She threw for three innings allowing thirteen runs on thirteen hits, striking out one and walking two. Brott came in  to finish the game. She threw three innings allowing zero runs on one hit, strking out four and walking zero. "They had Emily's timing down and we didn't support her in the field as well as we needed to as a team. We made the switch and Alexa helped pick Emily up by shutting them down." 

Dux hitters were held to four hits in the game. Carly Sleeman led the way with two hits. Lily Brower joined Verplank with a homerun.  Brott and Makena Moungkoun added hits for the Dux.

Dux had a good day, but finish second in the tournament. Their record goes to 18-5 on the season. They play next on Tuesday in Holland for OK Green conference double header.
