UNION HIGH SCHOOL: 0
The Dux made quick work of Union in the opening game of the double header with a shutout of 15-0 in three innings. Dux scored in each of the three innings including putting up nine runs in the second.
Emily Brands was perfect on the mound.. She struck out all nine Red Hawks in a row with no walks. "Emily had great control and didn't waste many pitches. She was very efficient tonight"
Dux offense got contributions from the entire lineup with nine batters getting ten hits. Alexa Brott led the way with two hits and driving in five runs. Addison Verplank, Lily Brower, Carly Sleeman, Elexia Fuentes, Taylor Zwagerman, Brands, and Morgan Patrick each had a hit. Not only were the bats good, but the Dux were disciplined at the plate collecting seven walks in the game.
Dux improved to 5-0 in OK Green Conference play and 11-2 overall.
