Dux varsity softball started the first game of the double header strong by jumping ahead to a six run lead in the second inning. The scoring started in the first with Carly Sleeman driving in Lily Brower who walked and stole second. Sleeman scored on a passed ball later in the inning. Dux added four more in the top of the second. Emily brands started the inning with a single. Jordyn Smeyers sacrificed her to second. Two Dux walked and Brower scored two by singling to left field. Sleeman plated Brower with a line drive double and later scored on another past ball. 

The Sailors fought back in the fourth putting up three and then the two teams traded runs to finish the game with the Dux winning 8-6. 

Junior Emily Brands took the win on the mound for the Dux. She collected her fifth season win throwing seven innings, allowing six runs on nine hits, striking out three and walking two. 

Dux offense was led by Sleeman who went 2 for 4 with two RBIs. "Carly had key hits and was very good on the base path. She makes things happen and reads the plays extremely well". Brower also had 2 RBIs with her hit in the game, scoring three times, and stealing two bases. Elexia Fuentes, Taylor Zwagerman, Morgan Patrick,  and Brands all had hits in the victory. "It was good to see girls executing up and down the line up. We started the game hot, became a little complacent, but the girls finished strong for the win."

Dux improved to 9-2 on the season.
