Dux win the first game of an OK Green Conference double header in Wyoming 11-8. The Dux jumped ahead early and never looked back.
Junior Emily Brands got the win on the mound. She threw 7 innings, allowing eight runs on eight hits, striking out five, and walking four. "Emily was good on the mound tonight. She fought back after we committed a few errors and after giving up a walk here and there. We are proud of her perseverance and confidence with herself and her team."
Dux offense had several players with big games. Junior Taylor Zwagerman went two for two and two walks . Senior Lily Brower who went three for four including two home runs and driving in three runs. Sophomore Carly Sleeman went two for four including a home run (back to back with Brower) and also drove in three runs. Seniors Elexia Fuentes and Jordyn Smeyers each contributed hits in the victory.
Dux improved to 3-0 in OK Green and 7-2 overall.
