Dux started slow, but pulled ahead in the bottom of the fourth and added runs in the fifth and sixth inning to take a 9-4 lead going into the top fo the seventh. The Rockets fought back putting up 3 runs, but the Dux ended the come back winning 9-7.
Emily Brands got her first conference win of the season going all seven innings. She allowed 7 runs on 10 hits, striking out 6 and walking 2.
Carly Sleeman led the Dux offense going 2 for 4 and driving in two runs. Brands trippled and Addision Verplank contributed a hit in the victory. Dux hitters were patient and drew 11 walks in the contest that allowed the critical hits to drive in runs.
Dux improved to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in conference.
