The second game started late for the Dux and Rams, and the sun went down before they could complete five innings. The Dux put up 5 runs in the second inning to lead 6-1, and the Rams battled back in another good game before it was called in the top of 5 with a score of 6-4.

Alexa Brott threw for the Dux in the no contest. She threw four innings, allowing four runs(3 earned) on eight hits, walking four and striking out five. She wasn't shaken and was throwing hard in the light rain that started falling during the game. 

The Dux pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Addison Verplank tripled scoring one run, Lily Brower doubled, scoring one run, and Brott singled, scoring two runs.  Brott went 2 for 2, Verplank and Brower went 2 for 3. Elexia Fuentes, Carly Sleeman, and Makena Moungkhoun each contributed a hit for the Dux as they outhit the Rams 9-8 in the game.

Dux Defense looked good and had several key plays as catcher Carly Sleeman picked off a runner on third, and they threw out a runner coming home with a great relay from right field to Brower to Sleeman at the plate.

With the no contest, the Dux start the season at 2-1 and are off until after Spring Break when they host Reeths Puffer for their first conference games starting at 4:15.
