Dux Softball shut out Fennville in 2nd game opening night

The Dux continued to have strong bats in the second game of the double header beating Fennville 20-0. Alexa Brott got the win on the mound for her first High School start. She threw three innings, allowing one hit, striking out six, and no walks. A solid first outing for Brott.
Dux offense put up 14 hits in the victory. They were led by senior Addison Verplank and Lily Brower who each went 3 for 3. Verplank drove in 3 runs and each scored three times. Senior Elexia Fuentes had two hits, and Tayler Zwagerman, Carly Sleeman, Brott, Jordyn Smeyers, Morgan Patrick, and Emily Brands each contributed a hit.
Dux moved to 2-0 on the season and head to South Haven on Tuesday for a double header starting at 4:00pm
