FENNVILLE HIGH SCHOOL: 0
Dux started strong in their 2021 opening game. They put up sixteen runs and shut out Fennville in the first of a double header at home. Senior Emily Brands had a strong outing on the mound throwing three innings, giving up one hit, striking out seven, and giving up no walks. She was in command from the first pitch and looked very good in the circle.
Dux offense started quick and many players contributed for 12 hits in the shortened game. Their offense was led by Senior Lily Brower who went 3 for 3 and 1 RBI. Freshman Alexa Brott hit a homerun in her first High School at bat. She went 2 for 3 with 4 RBIs. Many Dux added hits including Addison Verplank, Carly Sleeman, Taylor Zwagerman, Emily Brands, Morgan Patrick, and Aracely Ramirez-Salas.
Great start to the season.
