Dux started quick scoring four runs in the first inning with a home run by Kenzie Siersma plating three of runs. They never looked back and held the Dutch to two hits on their way to the 10-0 victory.

Emily Brands pitched the shutout on the mound. She threw five innings, giving up only two hits, striking out four and walking one. Emily has been throwing well in her freshman season. She is growing and gaining confidence with every inning. This was her second conference win on the mound and has a record of 2-2.

Dux defense was sound as they supported their pitcher well. The Dutch got two runners on in the top of the first, and attempted to score a runner from third on a ground ball to second, but the Dux second basemen Lily Brower made a nice throw to catcher Morgan Rush for the tag out at home.  

The offense was led by several Dux batting 1000. Brower went 3 for 3 with two doubles, Clarie Barkel was 2 for 2, and Jordan Smeyers and Maddie Morren were 1 for 1. Siersma had a multiple hit game going 2 for 3 and racking up 5 RBIs. Elexia Fuentes, Morgan Rush also had two hits a piece.  Cortlyn Merryman added a single to the 14 run offensive effort. It was nice that the bats were on to support Brands on the mound.

Dux improved to 5-2 in conference play and 10-10 overall.
