Dux had a 5-0 lead going into the bottom of the third, but Thornapple put up a charge that the Dux struggled to stop and lost the game 18-5.
Emily Brands took the loss on the mound. She threw four innings allowing 14 hits, 5 earned runs, and 1 walk.
The Dux defense just didn't play well in the middle innings which allowed Thornapple to mount their comeback and solid victory. They were putting the ball in play and making things happen.
Lily Brower and Morgan Rush each had two hits in the game. Rush drove in three runs. Taylor Zwagerman had a triple and an RBI. Kenzie Siersma had the Dux other hit in the game going 1 for 1 with 2 walks.
