Maroons scored in the top of first to take the 1-0 lead, but the Dux answered back quickly scoring four runs in the bottom of the first. They never looked back and won 5-2 and swept Holland Christian in the OK Green Conference games.

Senior Kenzie Siersma earned the win on the mound. She had great command for seven innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out six and walking one.

Dux offense totaled 11 hits in the game. Lily Brower, Taylor Zwagerman, Claire Barkel, and Elexia Fuentes all had multiple hits. Brower led Dux going 3 for 4. Barkel and Zwagerman went 2 for 3 and Barkel collected 2 RBIs.

Dux defense was solid and didn't commit a single error! Shortstop Brower made two diving catches to take away infield singles. It was complete game for the entire team. 

Dux improved to 3-1 in conference and 6-6 overall. They will travel to Thornapple-Kellogg on Friday and pick up conference play on Tuesday when they face the Hamilton Hawkeyes on the road.
