The Dux had to hold off two rallies by the Panthers to win 7-6 in a non conference game on Tuesday night.

The Dux took the lead in the bottom of third inning scoring four runs. The Panthers pulled to within one in the top of the fifth, but the Dux answered back scoring 3 in the bottom of the inning. The Panthers tried again in the top of the seventh by loading the bases with no outs. They managed to score two, but the Dux turned a double play as catcher Elexia Fuentes fielded a short hit ball and touched home and threw to first for the double play. Pitcher Kenzie Siersma then was able to get the next batter to pop out to end the game.

Siersma got the win on the mound. She surrendered six runs on ten hits over seven innings, striking out five and walking one.

Lily Brower led the Dux offense going 3 for 3. Fuentes and Siersma each added hits for the Dux. Brower, Fuentes, and Claire Barkel each had two RBIs in the game.

Dux improved to 4-4 on the season. They will host Spring Lake on Friday night in a non conference double header.
