The Dux rebounded from the opening loss and won a well played game against Whitehall in the second game of the tournament.
Kenzie Siersma earned the win on the mound. She allowed six hits and four runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking zero.
Cortlyn Merryman made a diving catch in centerfield to end a Whitehall threat late in the game.
The Dux scored four runs in the second inning when Lily Brower hit a deep ball to left field that was misplayed by Whitehall allowing four Dux, including Brower, to cross the plate.
Elexia Fuentes, Merryman, Siersma, and Taylor Zwagerman each contributed a hit to the Dux offensive effort.
