UNITY CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL: 15
The Dux fought hard and tried to rally from behind in the second game of the conference double header, but came up short and lost 10-15.
Dux offense continued to hit the ball throughout the lineup collecting nine hits. They were led by Sophomore Elexia Fuentes who went 2 for 3 and Freshman Emily Brands who went 2 for 4 driving in two runs. Cortlyn Merryman, Lily Brower, Kenzie Siersma, Brinzie Kalkman, and Taylor Zwagerman all contributed hits in the game.
Brands took the loss on the mound throwing 2 1/3 innings allowing seven runs on four hits, striking out two and walking four. Brower and Siersma came in relief to close out the game.
Dux are 1-1 in conference and 2-1 overall. Their next games are Saturday April 13th whent they travel to Softball World to compete in a tournament.
