Varsity Dux Softball come from behind to win conference opener vs Unity

The Varsity Dux softball team rallied from behind scoring seven runs in the sixth inning to take the win from Unity Christian 10-6 in the conference opener.
The rally was started by senior Claire Barkel with a single, then the Dux strung together eight consecutive hits including a base clearing double by sophomore Elexia Fuentes to go up for good.
The entire team contributed to the offensive effort. They were led by senior Kenzie Siersma who went 3 for 4 driving in 4 runs. Junior Brinzie Kalkman and Sophomore Lily Brower both had a multi hit games going 2 for 3 and 2 for 4 respectively.
Siermsa got the win on the mound. She threw seven innings allowing six runs on seven hits, striking out six, and walking three.
