The Lady Dux played well defensively behind Kenzie Siersma on the mound to win the first of the double header on the night 3-0.

Both pitchers pitched well allowing only six hits total. Siersma picked up her fourth conference win throwing seven innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out four and walking two.

The Dux capitalized on their opportunities and put two runs on the board in the bottom of the first with two outs. Siersma reached on an error. Sophie Zelenock was intentionally walked. Runners advanced on a past ball, and Morgan Rush drove them both home with hard ground ball single up the middle. They added an insurance run in the bottom of the fifth with Cortlyn Merryman laying down a nice bunt and getting on base with an errant throw that allowed her to advance to third base. Lily Brower then executed a sacrifice fly ball to center to score Merryman to put the Dux up 3-0 for good.

Rush, Siersma, Maddie Sliva, and Brinzie Kalkman had the hits for the Dux.

Dux Defense was led by Katie Bruursema who had 4 put outs followed by Brower and Merryman who each had 2. 

Dux improved to 7-0 in conference and 13-4 overall.
