The Lady Dux started the second the same as they did in the first game by scoring first in the opening inning and jumping to a 3-0 lead. The Maroons fought back scoring runs in the bottom of the third and fourth innings to pull within one run, but the Dux responded scoring three runs in the top of the fifth and adding two more in the top of the seventh to take the game 8-2.

Kenzie Siersma was efficient on the mound for the Dux to get the win. She pitched seven innings giving up two unearned runs on only four hits, striking out eight and walking one. She had four innings throwing less than 13 pitches to keep the Maroons in check.

The Dux offense started with Lily Brower singling, Maddie Sliva doubling and Sophie Zelenock hitting a ball to right that was missed by the Maroons scoring two runs. Zelenock's smart base running got her to third and allowed her to tag up and score on a fly ball to right field by Morgan Rush. Rush did it again in the fifth. The inning started with Brower doubling and scoring on error of ball hit by Siersma to right. Zelenock reach on a fielder choice infield play and Rush drove them both home with a single line drive to right center. Rush wasn't done as she did it again in the top of the seventh. Siersma walked, Zelenock had a single, and Rush hit a double down the left field line scoring two more. She had five RBIs on the game.

Rush went 3 for 3 to lead the Dux. Brower had two and Jordyn Smeyers, Sliva, and Zelenock each added one.

The Dux improved to 6-0 in confence play and 10-3 overall. They travel to South Christian on Thursday to take on the Sailors for a double header.
