It was a disappointing week for our boys as we went 0 for 2 in Muskegon this week.  Tuesday was a tough loss to Mona Shores 3-2 and last night was a bit tougher in a 5-1 defeat at the hands of Reeths-Puffer.  The guys displayed a tremendous amount of grit on Tuesday as they fought and clawed all game to make it a close match.  The result was just not what we have been working for.  Last night's match at Reeths-Puffer was a very tough game for us.  We came out a bit flat and very little energy and the Rockets fed off of that.  We continued to play hard even as the score got away from us.  We continue to talk about the details and what those entail and how and why they matter in games.   We continue to work hard in practice in hopes of that those dividends will pay off.  Unfortunately that did not go our way this week, but there are more battles to be fought and games to win.  We are keeping our heads up and in this season.  Reeths-Puffer was very quick up top and we had a difficult time adjusting to their pace.  The second half we played much better and we really created some scoring opportunities that we just were not able to finish on.  Our defense was solid and came up big to keep the their goal total to 1 int the 2nd half.  Josh Kroll scored the lone goal for us last night on a rebound off of a deflected shot.  Isaiah CiFuentes continues to be a highlight reel in goal as he continues to make phenomenal save after phenomenal save.  He is tremendously gifted and continues to improve in net for us.  We have another busy week next week as we are home against Wyoming on Tuesday and then away at Grand Rapids Union on Thursday.
