The Varsity team came off a tough loss against Wayland and put on a show in the heat.  Against a Black River team that has already taken down to of our rivals the boys were not going to be denied.  Trigve Elkins started the scoring by smoking a half volley past the River Rats keeper to put the Dux up 1-0.  The boys continued to stay poised and shut down any real threat from the River Rat offense.  Great communication and team defense really helped out the cause.  Sammy Salas added 2 goals and Isaac Hondorp added another to complete the 4-0 victory for the Dux.  I really thought we played a solid game and rebounded very well.  Against Wayland we played a good half but couldn't sustain the energy.  In a day that I felt was much more humid, we really solidified possession and domination in the mid field.  Our defense really stepped up and kept their offense at bay.  We continue to improve and look for ways to get better.  We have another tough test Monday at Fennville and a back to back Tuesday at home against Muskegon.
