The Dux really came to play against Holland Wednesday night as they etched out a 2-2 tie.  The game was very back and forth in the 1st half with few scoring opportunities coming for either team.  The Dux defense was very stout against a very skilled Holland offensive attack.  The score remained 0-0 at half.  In the 2nd half Holland got on the board 1st but the Dux defense continued to play well.  ThE Dux continued to play well but Holland broke through again and went up 2-0.  The Dux never quit and continued to push and play well.  Their hard work paid off as Isaac Hondorp got the Dux on the board when Caleb Smith took a pass, turned inside and found a streaking Hondorp running down the left side.  Smith split the defenders and Hondorp Calmly tucked it into the back of the net to cut the Dutch lead to 1.  With under 10 minutes to play the Dux got a free kick off of a foul just in front of the half line.  Will Kraft played a long ball to the far post and Joel Nunez found the end and placed it past the Dutch keeper to tie the score at 2.  Not even 2  minutes later Nunez had another opportunity to put the Dux ahead but his header went over the goal.  The Dux had sopme great opportunities tonight and played the most solid 80 minutes of the year against a good Holland squad.  There were other chances by both teams but the score remained 2-2 at the final whistle.  Isaiah Cifuentes was outstanding in goals and made some huge saves for the Dux.  Up next for the Dux is Byron Center on Monday the 30th.
