Zeeland West nabbed the lead late in the game in a 6-5 victory over Holland Dutch Varsity on Tuesday. The game was tied at five with the Dux batting in the top of the seventh when Carter Hughes singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Hayden Reider was the winning pitcher for Zeeland West allowing zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out three to close the door.

Hughes started the game for the Dux and lasted six innings, allowing six hits and five runs while striking out seven and walking one

Zeeland West tallied nine hits in the game. Simon Moore, Deklen Klamt, and Hughes all managed multiple hits for the Dux. Moore went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Zeeland West in hits.
