The Zeeland West varsity baseball team fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 9-1 loss to Fremont on Monday.
Kole Meeuwsen led things off on the pitcher's mound for Zeeland West. The lefthander went one inning, allowing two runs on one hit, striking out three and walking zero.
Jack Aalderink, Logan Visser, John Hodgson, Jake Kender, and Brendan Gabrion each collected one hit to lead Zeeland West Dux Varsity.
