Zeeland West JV Softball scored 14 runs in the second inning, which helped them defeat Grand Haven JV Buccaneers 24-2. Bryn Laarman drew a walk for an RBI, Racquel Fuentes singled, scoring three runs. Sadie Kragt and Kennedi Tiemeyer each followed with an RBI. Laarman came up and singled, scoring two runs and then Anah Lacy singled, scoring two more runs. Kragt followed with a triple bringing in two RBI's and then scored on a wild pitch.
In the third inning, the Dux scaored 10 runs on nine hits. Tiemeyer singled, scoring two runs followed by Lacy hitting a single for an RBI. Fuentes followed with a single scoring two more runs and coming home on a wild pitch. Maggie Brower came up and singled bringing in two runs followed by another single by Tiemeyer with an RBI.
Kragt earned the win for the Dux. She gave up four hits and one run over two innings, striking out five with no walks.

Zeeland West JV Softball came back to win despite trailing 5-0 in the first. Racquel Fuentes showed a strong eye at the plate as she walked three times.
They flipped the game in the bottom of the first answering back with 8 runs. Grand Haven tied it back up in the top of the second.
In the bottom of the second, ZW JV went up 12-8 after Anah Lacy singled with an RBI and Sadie Kragt grounded out for two RBIs. Bri Kamer drew a walk with the bases loaded for another RBI.
They extened their lead in the bottom of the third by three runs thanks to RBI singles by Bryn Laarman and Fuentes.
ZW scored seven runs on four hits in the bottom of the fourth. Maggie Brower singled with an RBI, Kennedi Tiemeyer doubled with an RBI, Rachel Spahr with a single for an RBI, and Fuentes drew a walk with bases loaded. Kragt was hit by a pitch bringing in a run followed by Kamer with a two RBI single.
Karissa Oetman earned the win for the ZW Dux in the circle. She surrendered four hits and eight runs (five earned) over four innings, stirking out six and walking eight.
The ZW JV softball team went wild on the bases, piling up 14 stolen bases for the game.
They are hosting Whitehall JV on Wednesday for a double header.
