Zeeland Girls Swim and Dive beat Forest Hills Northern/Eastern 101 to 82 at Zeeland West High School on October 22.
Coach Drew Scheerhorn said that “It went well, we are really trying to get into our championship season since we have two weeks before conference. Beating the team that is in our conference is a big confidence boost, but we are tired. So you can tell that we are swimming tired but it's all about the effort we are putting in, and the strategies that we have in our races that’s going to set us up for the end of the season.”
Soph. Ariyah Getting placed first in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:10.48. Fr. Mallory Ensing placed second in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:20.09.
Jr. Madison Ensing said that “I think the meet went very well overall, we swam our closest to conference lineup as we could. Most of us just tried to work on technique and strategy, but it was a pretty good meet and we won, so that’s always a positive.”

Zeeland Girls Swim and Dive took the win against the Forest Hills Central Girls 103 - 70 at the Forest Hills Aquatic Center on October 15. Swimmer Lucy Boes said, “I think the meet went really well, we’ve definitely had some intense practices so it's fun to swim some challenging races and push ourselves. I swam the 200 breast and 200 IM. All night long the Zeeland Girls seemed to be in control of the meet against the Forest Hills Central Girls and came out with a big win. Coach Jon said, “The meet went very well, high effort swims its the time of the season where it is a dead point and everyone is very tired so anytime they compete they have to put all their effort in even if they aren't having the best time. Conference is going to be very competitive. We are playing against some hard teams that were not in our conference last year like East Grand Rapids, Forest Hills Northern, and Byron Center but we will work hard and swim very well.”
